Cultural events
On June 1, 2026, in the quaint southern city of Elista, the capital of the mysterious Republic of Kalmykia, the N.N. Palmov National Museum will host the grand opening of the exhibition “60 Years of Inspiration: Facets of Co-Creation”, dedicated to the anniversary of the Harry Rokchinsky Children’s Art School. A source in the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Kalmykia announced this today.
The museum’s exhibition will feature more than 100 works executed in all types and genres of fine art: painting, graphics, sculpture, and decorative and applied arts.
Visitors to the exhibition will see portraits, landscapes, still lifes, and genre paintings created by both teachers and graduates over the years.
The authors include People’s and Honored Artists of Russia and Kalmykia, participants in international, all-Russian and interregional projects, and recognized masters of fine art.
