Kalmyk girl Saglara Ozaeva became Miss Dzhungaria 2011
As a result of the popular vote in a social network vkontakte.ru, the title of “Miss Dzhungaria 2011” was a kalmyk student Saglara Ozaeva from Saint Petersburg university.
The main prize: a certificate for 10 000 russian roubls and a Gold Card Dzungaria.

Earlier this year, I visited one of the most improbable places on Earth, the little-known Republic of Kalmykia.
Located on the arid steppe south of Volgograd, Kalmykia is Europe’s only Buddhist republic.
It also bills itself as a Mecca for chess players. It is the headquarters of the World Chess Federation (FIDE), and a suburb has been built near the capital, Elista, expressly for holding tournaments and offering vacation homes to former champions. Great investment project “Wind power stations”
On the territory of the Republic of Kalmykia, in accordance with the investment project, signed between the Government of the Republic of Kalmykia and joint stock company “Falcon Capital” continues the construction of wind farms. The purpose of this project is to construct a Czech company JSC “Falcon Capital” of wind power station with capacity of 150 MW.
