Today, May 27, 2010, buddhists celebrate the most important day of the Buddhist calendar – birthday, enlightenment and passing into Parinirvana of the Buddha Sakyamuni.
This year is May 27.
At dawn the lama of Kalmykia Geshe Tenzin Dugda gave to all interested a one-day Mahayana’s vows.
Morning in the prayer hall of the temple began a solemn ritual that includes an extensive enumeration the twelve deeds of the Buddha and reading his full biography.
