Head of Kalmykia met with the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China in Russia

Today the head of Kalmykia Alexey Orlov met with the delegation of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China headed by the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to the Russian Federation, Li Hui. The subject for discussion was the issue of cooperation between the PRC and Kalmykia.

Recall guests arrived in the republic on the eve.

“I express my gratitude for the invitation,” the Chinese ambassador said. – Kalmykia is one of the important subjects of the Russian Federation, which is dynamically developing in many spheres. Especially in agriculture. We have already had a close acquaintance with your republic. From the first of January this year, our leaders, as is known, announced cooperation between the regions of the Russian Federation and the provinces of the PRC for two years. And this is already being actively implemented. Now we can already say that we will attract Chinese investors to the republic to study the investment opportunities. I see good prospects for cooperation in many areas. This is my first visit to Kalmykia. And I hope that in the future we will come to you more often.”

The head of Kalmykia, in turn, recalling the recently held festival Oirad Tumen in Elista, stressed that the visit of the delegation of the Embassy of the PRC will serve as the beginning of a good, mutually beneficial cooperation in addition to cultural and humanitarian ties: “We have something to offer our Chinese partners and friends. We have huge opportunities for investing in the region’s economy.”
