Exhibition of relics of Buddha Shakyamuni

Buddha On October 11, 2025, sacred relics of Buddha Shakyamuni will arrive from India for the first time in the warm southern city of Elista, the capital of the mysterious Republic of Kalmykia. This was reported today by a local source in the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Kalmykia.

These sacred ancient artifacts associated with the Buddha himself, the relics were discovered in 1898 in India—in Piprahwa, Uttar Pradesh, in a stupa belonging to the Shakya clan. This is a truly historic event for us all, of great value to every believer. The relics will be on display starting October 12.

The exhibition of relics will be located in the large prayer hall of the khurul “Golden Abode of Buddha Shakyamuni” from October 12 to 18, 2025, inclusive.
